Brown, Christie & Green Announces Healthcare Scholarship Essay Winner

MedMalFirm.com (formerly Brown, Christie & Green) is proud to announce the winner of our Spring Healthcare Essay Scholarship! Our winner for Spring is Michael Lee Sanchez.

Spring 2021 Winner – Michael Lee Sanchez

Mr. Sanchez graduated from Alice High School in Alice, Texas in 2015. He enlisted in the Marine Corps 10 days later and served five years as an aircraft electronic technician on C130s. Michael discharged at the rank of sergeant in June, 2020 and is currently a rising sophomore at Cornell University in the School of Industrial and Labor Relations.

He won the MedMalFirm.com scholarship based on his entry titled “The Proper Role of Government in Protecting Patients from Injury”. In his essay, he demonstrated knowledge of the abilities and challenges the U.S. healthcare system faces in protecting patients. You can read the entire essay here.

In his spare time, Mr. Sanchez enjoys hiking, cooking, and playing basketball. He intends to graduate from Cornell University and attend Law School.  He hopes to one day give back to his community and be a catalyst for positive change.
